Frequently Asked Questions

Chelan Valley Farms is a tranquil homestead located off the beaten path. Here you’ll find the panoramic beauty of the valley paired with a slower pace of life. Turn off the everyday, soak up the quiet, and relax into the scenery.

Do you do farm tours?

We do! We love helping the community learn about farming including the flowers and fruits we grow, farm animals (including our three livestock guardian dogs), our vineyard (Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc) and our life as a family of 5 (+ 3 dogs and 5 cats) living on a Farm. During our Pumpkin Patch season (mid-September-October), we offer several tours a day on the weekends. All other times of the year, we offer tours by appointment only so please make a reservation if you’re interested in a Farm tour.

Do I need to make a reservation?

Reservations aren’t required at Lagriōth Winery but if you have a party over 6, it’s never a bad idea. Click here to make a reservation.

Do you have wine education?

We can offer an informal Wine 101 class (for the price of your tasting fee) on the weekends. Please contact us at info@chelanvalleyfarms.com or make a reservation if you’d like to join us! Click here to reserve your wine tasting 101 class

Are dogs allowed?

We love dogs (we even have 3 of our own) however we ask you to leave your pooch at home. We are a working farm with livestock in which our dogs help protect. No visiting dogs allowed on the farm.

Can I bring my own food?

We have a great selection of light bites in the tasting room including artisan cheeses, smoked salmon, a variety of crackers and other farm items. If you would like to bring outside food or a picnic, the answer is YES as long as you purchase 2 bottles of wine. We do ask that you set up on our lawn area in our super comfy chairs, and not on the patio. We also ask the area be clean before you leave.

Can I bring in my own alcohol?

Washington state law prohibits outside alcohol on our property, but we offer delicious Lagriōth wines and a variety of craft beers from Old Schoolhouse Brewery in Winthrop, WA for your enjoyment.

Is CVF ADA compliant?

Lagriōth Winery at Chelan Valley Farms does have ADA parking and ADA accommodations and access to the tasting room patio and restrooms. However, because much of our property is on grass or unpaved roads, we are not able to provide ADA accommodation in the orchards, the vineyards or the animal and barn areas.

How much is a wine tasting?

We offer wine flights for $15.00 each. The purchase of two bottles of delicious Lagriōth wine waives your tasting fee.

How many bottles do I need to purchase to waive my wine tasting fee?

Each $15.00 tasting fee is waived with the purchase of two delicious bottles of Lagriōth wine.

Is there outdoor seating?

Yes! We have a covered patio outside our tasting room and (what feels like) miles of grassy lawn with Adirondack chairs and umbrellas.

Is there indoor seating?

At the moment, our intimate tasting room accommodates 6-8 people at a seated table and there are up to 4 seats at our tasting bar. We do accept reservations for the inside area. During the colder weather we get cozy inside the tasting room or bundle up around the Solo Stoves®. Our next phase is to close in our covered patio area.

We’re working on it! At the moment, our intimate tasting room doesn’t accommodate seating but stay tuned. We’re hoping to change that in the near future.

If I don’t finish my bottle purchase, can I take it home with me?

Absolutely! We’ll put a cork in it, bag it and send you on your way to enjoy Lagriōth wine at home. It must be kept out of reach during transport. While you’re at it, why not buy a few extra bottles to share (or keep for yourself!).

Is your guest house available?

We love providing the full Farm experience to our Guest House guests. Click here to check availability. Our Farm stays are one of a kind with farm fresh eggs delivered, complementary tastings and 10% off Lagriōth wines throughout your stay. And if you’re lucky, a private, guided tasting experience with our owners and winemakers might also be available.

Is there shade for my group?

We offer a covered patio plus lots of lovely umbrellas on our grass lawn. On the weekend, we encourage you to make a reservation for groups over 6, especially if you’re hoping for some shade. Please let us know in your reservation comments if you prefer patio or lawn with shade cover.

Is Lagriōth Winery at Chelan Valley Farms kid-friendly?

We love kids so much that we had 3 of our own so bring them along for romping on the grass, lawn games, running through misters or coloring. We also have u-pick flowers and berry picking (summer), pumpkin and apple picking (fall), tractor rides (fall) and all sorts of other great things for the kids to do so you can relax and enjoy some wine. Ask about our farm animals too!

What fruits can I pick at Chelan Valley Farms?

We have seasonal u-pick fruits including raspberries, currents, and blueberries during the summer, an assortment of apples (Honeycrisp, Cosmic Crisp®, EverCrisp® and more) and lots pumpkins in the fall and a beautiful variety of flowers (think 100’s of Dahlias, Zinnia’s, Cosmo’s, Snap Dragons & more) throughout the spring, summer, and fall.

Do you do weddings/events at CVF?

Currently, we do not host weddings, however if you’re interested in holding a private event at Chelan Valley Farms, please contact us at info@chelanvalleyfarms.com.

Is the Farm organic?

Great question! Our vineyard is Sustainable WA Certified, we’re transitioning the orchard and vineyard to Organic Certification (all applications are organic), then on to Regenerative Organic Certification. You might see our sheep or chickens out grazing in the vineyard or orchard – they’re our organic weed and pest control. Sign up for our Farm Friday emails and check out our BLOG to learn more about our efforts.
